Warning Warning Graphic Video Might be Disturbing

This would have happened even if I had not put the camera there, except we would never know for sure why the birds disappeared. To me it was a tragedy; Perhaps if I had been watching on the monitor at the time, I think I could have interceded. But alas I was not and found out only after returning from some yard chores and noticing that the eggs were no longer in the nest. When it was over the mother Robin returned to the nest and even tried to set on where the eggs had been as if she did not understand that they were not there. After some time she left and most likely went to start another clutch. Hopefully it would turn out better than this sad story. |
